Lisa Edelstein, an American actor best recognized for her role in House, a Fox medical drama. Growing up in Wayne in conservative Jewish customs, she emigrated into New York City at the age of eighteen to study theater at Tisch school of arts. Then, in the course of time she began to be engaged in the city's nightclub scene and made enough noise that she was seen by the media and concurrently, becoming aware of the devastation of AIDS. The singer used her training in music and fame to create and star in a new musical, Positive Me. The first time she was hired, she got her first position on MTV as host of Awake on the Wild Side shortly after. After Awake on The Wild Side was no longer being aired, she began to act in films and television, first with brief roles. As time went on, her work in acting increased.
